College Hospital
During the year 1988-89, govt. of Odisha established an Ayurvedic Hospital in the campus of the institution and started functioning w.e.f. Dt. 02-04-1990. After taking over of this college by the state Govt. the hospital was merged with the college and renamed as KATS Ayurveda College and Hospital, Ankushpur.
Staff:
Principal of the institute is the superintendent of the hospital. A deputy superintendent is being appointed by the govt. to look after the day to day management of hospital. The duties of the hospital are managed by the consultants and medical officers. Besides , there are staff nurses, compounders, laboratory technician and attendants engaged in the hospital for patient care.
Outdoor and Indoor block:
The hospital has an outdoor and indoor block. Outdoor is functioning inits own building having separate departments such as Kayachikitsa(General Medicine),, Shalya(Surgery and orthopedics), Shalakya(Eye & ENT), Prasootitantra stree roga(Obstetrics and Gynecology) and Kaumarabhrutya(Pediatrics). More than 50 varities of patients are daily attending the outdoor and receiving free ayurvedic medicines.
The Indoor dept. of Hospital is functioning in a well furnished separate building with a total bed-strength of 100 distributed among different departments. The patients are getting medicinal treatment as well as panchakarma, physiotherapy and surgical treatment by physicians of respective departments.
Facilities Available:
Labour room, Ultrasonography, Auto analyser, O.T., X-ray, ECG, Dental Unit etc are available in the hospital for diagnosis and management of patients.
Medicine and Diet:
As per the norms fixed by the state govt. , patients are supplied with Ayurvedic medicines and diet freely.

Teaching provision:
KATS Ayurveda College and Hospital , Ankushpur, Berhampur is a Govt. College which is affiliated to Berhampur University, Bhanjavihar with university affilation no. 11676/Dt. 25.06.82. The college offers Ayurvedacharya (Bachlor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) course recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
Duration of Course:
Five and half year including one year of cumpolsory rotating internship training.
Course Module:
The B.A.M.S. Course which is of four and half year duration, comprising of four professional years. First three having one year each and the final profession is of one and half year duration.
